Review: The Gatekeepers Son by Eva Pohler

This is the first book in the Gatekeepers saga by Eva Pohler. It is a young adult fanatsy book which features alot of Greek Mythology. Heres the summary of the book:

‘Fifteen-year-old Therese watches her parents die. While in a coma, she meets the twin sons of Hades—Hypnos (the god of sleep) and Thanatos (the god of death). She thinks she’s manipulating a dream, not kissing the god of death and totally rocking his world.

Than makes a deal with Hades and goes as a mortal to the Upperworld to try and win Therese’s heart, but not all the gods are happy. Some give her gifts. Others try to kill her.

The deal requires Therese to avenge the death of her parents. With the help of Than’s fierce and exotic sisters, the Furies, she finds herself in an arena face to face with the murderer, and only one will survive’

Eva really knows her stuff when it comes to greek mythology as alot of gods were mentioned in this book along with history of greek mythology and her world building of the gods work was so detailed you could imagine yourself walking into it just from reading what she has written. The two main characters were portrayed amazing and i loved the relationship that was between them and how much Than cared for therese.

Therese was a really interesting character and bounced back well after she saw her parents die. She was really sweet but also strong and i loved her bond between her and all animals that she encountered which gave the story more life and was key element! Than was so caring and handsome and would do anything for her if it meant making her happy.

I really enjoyed this book and gave this book 5 stars!! I really recommend it to anyone who loves YA greek mythology.  And guess what?? ITS FREE TO DOWNLOAD ON KINDLE!! Follow this link to get your own copy of the book.
